04 May We belong
Sometimes we forget that we were first created by a loving God to walk and live with Him in complete harmony. (Adam and Eve- Garden of Eden)
We forget that He made us, lovingly, in His image. We belonged to God first, but sin entered our lives and separated us from Him. His plan has always been to bring us back to Himself.
In 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 it states "God bought you with a high price," remember that God is buying you back. He is not buying used goods at a low price! He sent His son to die on a cross to pay the full price for all of our sins so we could walk and live with Him once more in complete freedom.
It brings me joy to think that I do not belong to myself. I belong to the One who loves me more than I love myself; the One who will lovingly teach me how to honor Him and myself once again with the body He gave me. Allow the Holy Spirit, who lives in you, to remind you how much you are treasured and unconditionally loved by your Creator. Let Him whisper to your soul ways you can honor God with the body He gave you, choose to obey Him and see the blessings it can produce inside and outside your life.

Don't you realize that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was given to you by God? You do not belong to yourself, for God bought you with a high price. So you must honor God with your body.
