Society says too small, too big, too weak, too strong, too poor, too rich … we just aren’t good enough. And it is true, we are not good enough in our strength! Ephesians 1:19-20 says, I pray that you will understand the incredible greatness of God’s power for us who believe Him. This is the same mighty power that raised Christ from the dead ... We ARE more than enough with Christ as our power and strength!
Launched at Mariners Church Huntington Beach, Stepping Into His Image (siHi) is a curriculum focused on physical, spiritual, and emotional growth with weekly topics that address the issues many women struggle with or need encouragement in. During each 2 hour session we begin with a 30-40 minute workout together (i.e. walk, run, bootcamp or anything that gets the group moving!), and end with a topical group discussion. The first half of the study focuses on areas that we wrestle with, while the second half focuses on the fruits of the Spirit. This progression is designed to encourage women of all ages to look to Jesus through every season of their lives.
Stepping Into His Image embodies taking ownership in believing that our bodies are His temple while taking responsibility for our physical, emotional and spiritual health. Our prayer and hope is to help women learn that their identity is solely found in Christ Jesus and that He alone can restore what the enemy has damaged. We do this is by engaging in opportunities to mature in faith by accepting His promises, and taking action when the Holy Spirit prompts. We challenge each lady to learn about who God has created them to be both individually and in community.
Empowering women of all ages to have a Christ-like image of themselves both inside and out.
